Welcome to Terry The Tuner.com, where we help every note find its place! My name is Terry Dean, and I am a Certified Piano Technician with a history in the world of music and piano care.

My journey began many years ago in the U.S. Army. While stationed in San Angelo TX, I rented a piano to stay connected to my love of music. The owner of the local music store offered me a job tuning and moving pianos in the evenings and on weekends. This opportunity ignited my passion for the piano and allowed me to refine my skills, which I further developed while tuning pianos at military bases in Vietnam and Thailand.

After my military service, I studied music at San Francisco State University, where I majored in Music Composition, Arranging and Performance. I was fortunate to enjoy a successful music career, playing, writing, and performing alongside headliners like Cher, Dolly Parton, Dean Martin, and many others. These experiences deepened my appreciation for music played well and in tune.

In 2016, my wife and I moved to Anthem Merrill Ranch, and I have since been a substitute music teacher in the Florence Unified School District. I am now excited to have resumed my piano tuning services in Southeast Phoenix, dedicated to helping your piano sound its very best.

As a Certified Piano Technician, I utilize both aural tuning methods (by ear) and electronic tuning devices to ensure the highest level of precision in my work. My target audience spans anyone with an upright or grand piano, including students, musicians, schools, churches, and concert venues. Whether you are a seasoned performer or a beginner, I am here to provide the expert care your piano deserves.
