Booking an Appointment
Schedule a tuning service or evaluation in your home, school, church, or place of business. I will arrive on time with any necessary tools to provide the service you need.
Standard Tuning - $200.
Standard tuning includes expert aural and electronic tuning to bring your piano up to pitch (normally A=440 or 442), and includes a light cleaning and evaluation of any necessary regulation or repairs. If it’s been more than two years since the last tuning, your piano may requite a Pitch Raise. Standard Tuning, cleaning, and regulation takes about 2 hours.
Pitch Raise - $300
If your piano has not been tuned in more than two years, it’s likely to require a Pitch Raise to get it up to pitch and in tune. A Pitch Raise means the piano strings must be raised or stretched more than normally required and by the time the upper treble is tuned, the bass strings have gone flat. A Pitch Raise usually requires two or three tunings in one sitting and can take up to 3 hours.
Evaluation - $100
If you are buying or selling a piano we can provide an evaluation for any necessary repairs or maintenance that may be required before sale or purchase.
Piano Regulation or Repair - $100/hr
If your piano requires minor regulation, voicing or repair of a few notes during tuning, there is no extra charge. But if many or all notes need regulation, voicing or repair, there is an extra charge for that service of $100 per hour, plus the cost of any parts required. No extra charge without your express approval in advance.
